Our Great Grandfather - founded this business in 1930’s

About Us

We are family owned business, with our roots dating back to 1930’s. Our Great Grandfather (Late Sardar Gurbachan Singh Grewal) started business under name of “American Vulcanizer Work” where manufacturing of rubber v-belts with cotton cord started. He also setup lawn mower and grass cutting machine unit.
Later in 1954, our Grandfather (Mr. Mohinder Singh Grewal) joined the family business and focused only on manufacturing of rubber v-belts. The company name was changed to “Grewal Rubber” , and under his supervision manufacturing of v-belts was taken into polyester cord. In 1986, his sons (Mr. Sarabjit Singh Grewal and Mr. Manjit Singh Grewal) changed the company name to “Supreme Rubber Industries”. Under their supervision, we developed cogged belts, poly belts , etc increased our product assortments and expanded our market both to national and international market. We have always focused on keeping quality first, and giving our customers cost-effective products.

We are now the fourth generation who have joined our business and we are proud of our family business. We are working together to increase our market coverage.

“What has been really helpful for us is going back and remembering and honoring our family history as well as our loved ones, focusing as a family on our common interests and causes. I think that’s really helped to develop a family glue.”
— Heidi Vermeer-Quist, chair of Vermeer Corporation’s ownership council and a member of the company’s board (Family Business Magazine, January/February 2016).
